This Homemade Black Bean Salsa with black beans, corn, chopped cilantro to name a few and tossed in spices. Pair it with your favourite chip and don't worry about making too much, the next day you can add it as a side to a burrito bowl, a salad or pair it with protein. Either way you and your guests are going to love this quick and simple recipe.
When to make Black Bean Salsa ?
I usually make a big bowl of this so that I can enjoy it in Burrito bowls, as an accompaniment with chips and to add to my breakfast wraps. It’s super simple to make, comes together quickly and is perfect to make ahead when entertaining.

Homemade Black Bean Salsa Recipe
1 19-oz. can Black beans, rinsed and drained (yields 2 cups)
1 cup Corn
1 medium Red onion, diced
1 Green bell pepper, diced
1 Tomato, diced
2 tbsp Cilantro, chopped
1/4 cup Olive Oil
1/4 cup Red wine vinegar
2 tbsp Fresh lime juice
1 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Garlic powder
½ tsp Paprika
1 tsp Salt
Suggestions for modifications:
1. Skip paprika in the dressing and use finely chopped jalapeño instead.
2. Add in an avocado or red bell pepper, both work great.
3. Swap the garlic powder with minced garlic.
Homemade Black Bean Salsa Recipe Instructions & Steps
Step One
In a large bowl, combine beans, corn, red onion, green bell pepper, tomato and cilantro.
Step Two
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, lime juice, cumin powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.
Step Three
Pour the dressing over the salsa ingredients and stir to combine.
Step Four
Serve chilled with your favorite chips (I served it with @quepasafoods Organic Jalapeño and Lime Tortilla chips). Enjoy!
